As Kenya correspondent for The Africa Report, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, in-depth political reporting and analysis on Kenyan affairs. We are looking for candidates with a strong track record in journalism and a deep understanding of the political landscape in East Africa. Your reporting will help shape the narrative and provide valuable insights to our readers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research, interviews, and investigations to produce compelling and informative political stories.
- Stay updated on political developments, trends, and emerging issues across Kenya and the wider region.
- Build and maintain a network of reliable sources.
- Provide in-depth analysis and commentary on political events.
- Collaborate with our editorial team to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Pitch and develop story ideas that resonate with our audience.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of five years of professional reporting experience for an established newspaper or media outlet.
- Proven expertise in political reporting and a deep understanding of Kenyan and East African politics.
