South African Influencer’s Clever Trick Registers Thousands to Vote

Kay Yarms, a South African influencer and YouTuber duped her followers into registering to vote before the deadline.

The deadline to register to vote is midnight on Friday, and the Electoral Commission of South Africa reports that a large number of young people have yet to register.

One of her followers responded to the dupe, saying, “You tricked us here, but thank you, now I’m fully registered.”

“I forced my friend to register using your link,” another follower wrote.
